Things I build when nobody’s paying me. A lot of it is hardware that displays things badly on purpose, and the rest is tooling for problems I got tired of solving by hand.
Some of it is public and linked. The rest is described rather than linked, because the repository is private or because there isn’t one.
Modular synths
- Eurorack perfboard is prototyping board cut to Eurorack panel widths, for sale on Etsy.
- u8g2_vcv runs firmware written for a real OLED screen inside VCV Rack instead, with almost no code changes.
Tools
- BLEOTA_CLI flashes an ESP32 over Bluetooth from inside the PlatformIO build, so the board never needs unplugging.
- SCPI MCP server hands an agentic harness the run of my bench, oscilloscope screenshots included.
- Text a printer prints your SMS on a receipt printer sitting on my desk.
Objects
- MarbleSoda is a lamp made of an acrylic tube, addressable LEDs, and an almost problematic amount of marbles.
- FEAR spigot covers an open electrical box in my studio wall. It is a joke, and it is load bearing.
