I came out of a big photography project wanting to actually be part of Austin’s art scene instead of making things by myself. So I started going to meetups and events, and somewhere in all that I found Highland Collective and knew immediately that these were my people.

I moved into a studio there in August 2024. It’s on Airport Boulevard.

It’s my space to think, tinker, experiment, learn, and get inspired.

The first week after I moved in I met Kabir, from Mixim. Two weeks after that he texted asking whether I could help him with some electronics. That turned into two years of designing and assembling PCBs and writing firmware for a commercial cocktail machine, which is not a sentence I could have predicted writing when I moved in.
